Citigroup in Saudi Arabia

Citigroup in Saudi Arabia (CSA) is licensed by the Capital Market Authority (CMA) with the license number 17184-31 to conduct the following securities business activities: Dealing, Arranging, Advising and Custody. CSA obtained its license on April 25, 2017 and started conducting business on January 22, 2018. 

CSA provides a full range of financial advisory services with respect to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and also advises on public and private projects, joint ventures and strategic alliances and privatization. CSA also advises on debt and equity raising, structuring and restructuring.

Ms. Carmen Haddad Vice-Chairman 
Ms. Carmen Haddad is the Chief Country Officer of Saudi Arabia and has been the Citi Saudi Arabia Business and Governance Head since December 2016. Carmen joined CPB Middle East in January 2000 and has held several senior client coverage and management roles. She began her career in 1993 at JP Morgan Chase in London in the Asset Management Division after which she worked as a financial consultant at Lehman Brothers until 1997 covering Middle East &amp; North Africa Institutional and Private Clients and subsequently joined Merrill Lynch for 3 years in Private Client Services focusing on U.S. equity trading and alternative investments.
In June 2013, Ms. Haddad was appointed Co- Chair of Citi Women Network for the UAE and is a Regional Board member of "Injaz Al Arab". Carmen is also an eight-time winner &amp; Hall of Fame member of CPB Chairman's Council. Mrs. Haddad graduated with a bachelor's degree in arts from the University of Richmond.
Ebru Pakcan Board Member
Ms. Pakcan was appointed Head of EMEA Emerging Markets Cluster in May 2021 leading the Citi franchise and serving clients across 59 markets.
Prior to this she was the Head of Global Trade business at Citi since February 2020. In this role, Ms. Pakcan was actively engaged with Citi's clients across Corporate, Financials Institutions and Public Sector entities, developing working capital and trade financing solutions to meet their evolving requirements. She led a team of business managers, product and sales specialists across the globe in a set of diverse markets and disciplines.
Previously she headed up Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region based in London. Prior to that, Ms. Pakcan managed the Global Payments and Receivables business for the Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) based in New York until Nov 2016 and held the same position for EMEA region based in London between 2008 and 2012.
Ms. Pakcan joined Citibank in Turkey in 1997 as a Project Manager in Technology department and later expanded responsibilities in Operation and Technology division in various management positions. She held numerous roles across multiple countries, including the position of the Securities Country Manager (SCM) in Turkey, managing the custody and clearing business. In 2004, she moved to London to lead the Transaction Services EMEA Implementation team, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of new business mandated by Citi&rsquo;s institutional clients in the EMEA region.
Ms. Pakcan holds a degree in computer engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey.
Ms. Pakcan has been actively engaged with the Payments and Trade industry, having served on the Board of CHAPS Clearing Company in UK until 2012 and the Board of The Clearing House Payments Company L.L.C. in the United States until 2016. She is a member of the BAFT Global Trade Industry Committee (GTIC). Ebru has also served as a Director on the Board of Citibank Europe Plc in Ireland.
Mr. Mutlaq Hamad Al-Morished Independent Board Member
Mr. Mutlaq H. Al-Morished is the Chief Executive Officer, CEO of TASNEE. Prior to his present post, he was Executive Vice President of Corporate Finance, (CFO) at SABIC, Vice President of Metals SBU, EVP Shared Services, and President of SADAF and HADEED. In addition, Mr. Al-Morished was Chairman of the Board of YANSAB, SABIC Capital, SAUDI KAYAN, SABIC Captive Insurance Limited and Alinma Investment Co. Mr. Al. Morished was board member of Gulf Bank in Bahrain &amp; the Advisory Board for Economic Affairs of the Supreme Economic Council.
Mr. Al Morished also serves as board member of General Organization of Saudi Arabian airlines, Alinma Tokio Marine (ATMC), Aluminum Bahrain (ALBA), Gulf Petrochemical &amp; Chemical Association (GPCA) and Chairman of the board of National Metal Manufacturing &amp; Casting Co. (Maadaniyah).
Mr. Al-Morished holds an M.B.A. degree from Stanford University, a Master of Science degree in nuclear engineering from Princeton University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear physics &amp; mathematics from the University of Denver.

Mr. Alireza is the Managing Director of Haji Husein Alireza &amp;Co., He is also the Chairman of Herts Rental and Leasing, Chairman of National Computer Systems Company (NATCOM), Chairman of Ajil Financial Services Company, Chairman of the Board of The Arabian Petroleum Supply Company (APSCO), Member of the Jeddah Province Governate Advisory Council, and the Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Rowing Federation. Previously, Mr. Alireza was a Board member of SAMBA financial group, Chairman of SAMBA Capital, Chairman of the Board of Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance Co. and Chairman of the Board of Gulf One Investment Bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Sarah Altamimi
Interim CEO/Markets Head
Sarah joined Citigroup Saudi Arabia in December 2018 to build the Equity trading platform. She has more than 11 years of experience in in Equity trading. Her career began in Fransi Tadawul where she covered international brokerage operations then she moved to Morgan Stanley to set up their Saudi equity platform. In 2012, Sarah Joined Credit Suisse to build their Saudi Equity office desk.
Before joining Citigroup Saudi Arabia, Sarah worked at J.P. Morgan Saudi where she was a Vice President responsible for establishing the equity desk and trading activities and managed it for six years.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from King Saudi University.
Majed Al Hassoun
Head of Investment Banking
Majed Al Hassoun joined Citi in 2017 as head of Investment Banking for Citigroup Saudi Arabia. Previously, Majed was a Director in the Investment Banking department of Saudi Fransi Capital, the investment arm of Banque Saudi Fransi.
In over three years with Citi, Majed has led numerous transactions across a wide range of industries for public and private sectors clients, allowing Citi to secure a leading position in Saudi Arabia.
With over 15 years of experience, Majed has an extensive mergers and acquisitions and capital markets experience, having advised clients across different sectors and products.
Majed holds a bachelor of science, with distinction, in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and MBA from London Business School.
Moutaz AlKalash
Head of Human Resources
Moutaz joined the Citigroup Saudi Arabia in October, 2022. In his role, he works closely with KSA Leadership team supporting the business initiatives and streamlining the HR Processes for the franchise. Moutaz has more than 20 years of experience in HR , Marketing, Research, Communications, TQM &amp; Risk Management. Moutaz joins us from Riyad Bank where he was a Senior HR Business Partner with the CRO and Control functions for the bank. Prior to this he was with Saudi Electricity Company between 2002 and 2018, where he held various positions within the HR function. Moutaz holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from King Saud University &ndash; Riyadh (KSA), and holds a Master of science in Total Quality Management from the Arab academy for science and technology (Egypt).
Olukayode Bababunmi
Chief Finance Officer
Olukayode Bababunmi joined Citi in 1999 and most recently led the setup of the Saudi Arabia legal entity. His almost 19 years of banking experience spans across Internal Control, Operations and Technology and Finance Functions. Previously, he held roles within the Controllers discipline in Nigeria, including oversight responsibilities for ICAAP and regulatory reporting and was appointed the Country Controller in 2015.
Olukayode is a CFA Charter holder and has a Master's of Business Administration degree. He is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant.
Dania Ashgar
Chief Compliance Officer and AMLRO
Dania has joined Citigroup Saudi Arabia as the Country Chief Compliance Officer ("CCCO") and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (&ldquo;MLRO&rdquo;) effective December, 28, 2022. Dania has more than 13 years of experience in Compliance, Financial Crimes, Governance and Risk Management. She has joined Citigroup from Morgan Stanley where she was leading the compliance department in Saudi. Prior to this she worked for Sedco Capital where she was a senior manager in the compliance and AML department. Dania was the Head of Legal, Compliance and Financial Crimes for Gulf Finance in 2014-2019. She started her career at Sidra Capital where she held several function within the Compliance function.
Dania holds a Bachelor Degree in Banking and Finance from Dal Alhekma Univesity in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
