Gary Greenwald is the Managing Director for Digital Money Services at Citi Enterprise Payments.
Citi Enterprise Payments was recently created to develop comprehensive institution-to-consumer and consumer-to-institution payments solutions for the world's largest global corporations and financial institutions, as well as governments. Citi Enterprise Payments represents a significant growth opportunity for Citi, and an opportunity in which Citi is well-positioned to be the industry leader.
Prior to this role, Gary was Chief Innovation Officer for Citi Transaction Services and was responsible for driving client-focused innovation across market segments, regions and products, with particular focus on the critical role of technology in the transaction services business. At CTS, Gary developed market leading solutions in such areas as online banking, digital identity management, and analytics. Considered an industry expert on treasury and transaction banking technology trends, Gary is a frequent speaker and author on the subject.
Gary joined Citi in 1983 and has held a number of diverse positions in both corporate and consumer banking. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an M.S. in Statistics and Operations Research from New York University's Stern School of Business. In 2006, Gary was recognized by Treasury and Risk Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Finance. In 2009, Gary was named as one of the "Elite Eight" in technology and innovation by Banking and Technology Magazine.
