Citi Transaction Services (CTS) and the National University of Singapore's Business School have jointly launched a transaction banking course to cater to the increasing industry demand for transaction bankers. News of this collaboration was featured prominently on The Straits Times and The Business Times today.

Melvyn Low, Managing Director and Country Head for Citi Transaction Services Singapore explained to The Straits Times that the growth of transaction banking services has propelled demand for talent in this area.

The 13-week programme, which starts next Monday, is the first of its kind. It is not only the maiden collaboration for Citi with an academic institution to offer such a course, but it is also the only transaction banking course available in local universities. The course will be conducted by faculty members and bankers from CTS.

Through the curriculum, students will be taught the concepts of transaction banking, including its product capabilities and services, and understand issues from the perspectives of a transaction banker, corporate treasurer and chief financial officer.
