Lia Cartagena is a Program Officer at the Citi Foundation responsible for coordinating our International Grant Program and managing our grant making activities in Latin America. Lia has been with the Citi Foundation since 2011.
Prior to this role, Lia worked as a Grants Associate on the Foundation’s operations team, providing analysis and technical support to programmatic staff and nonprofit partners in over 80 countries. Prior to joining Citi, Lia worked at the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy where she coordinated a range of events, including International Corporate Philanthropy Day and the Board of Boards CEO Conference which convened top CEOs from around the globe.
Lia holds an MS in Nonprofit Management with a concentration on Corporate Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility from the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy at the New School and a BA in Communications from San Francisco State University.
