Tokyo Citibank Japan Ltd. (hereafter Citibank Japan) announces the opening of a smart banking ATM, the "Citi 360 Station," at The Peninsula Tokyo, one of the world's leading luxury hotels. This is Citi's first smart banking ATM to open in a five-star hotel anywhere in the world. The ATM, located on basement level one of The Peninsula Tokyo in the prestigious Marunouchi district and near Ginza, will provide customers, especially those staying at the hotel, with convenient access to Citibank Japan's new, state-of–the-art retail banking services.
Citibank Japan opened the first full-service smart banking branches in Citi's global network in Nihonbashi and Tokyo Ekimae in Tokyo in April 2010 and is aiming to open a number of new smart banking branches within the next twelve months, bringing the total number of retail banking branches across the country to 35.
The "Citi 360 Station" unites the information and touch functionality offered by the "Citi Service Browser" with the functionality of the Citi ATM. In addition, customers can obtain help or support through videoconference at any time, in English and Japanese, 24 hours a day.
Citibank Japan Representative Director, President & CEO Darren Buckley commented: "Smart banking is about bringing Citibank's services to where our customers are, and by partnering with the world's finest five-star hotels such as The Peninsula Tokyo, Citi aims to support the international and busy lifestyle of our customers who travel for both business and pleasure. We will continue to serve the ever-changing demands of our customers by accommodating their everyday needs."
