Denmark
History Citi opened in Denmark in 1919 as a representative office and became a registered bank in 1975. We are represented in Denmark through our Markets & Banking business and since October 2002 with the addition of our Global Consumer Group. Businesses Our Markets & Banking business serves major Danish corporations, financial institutions and public sector clients around the globe, as well as multinational subsidiaries operating in Denmark. We offer cash management, trade finance, foreign exchange and corporate finance services to our valued clients. Since the launch of our credit card business in Denmark in 2006, we have provided credit cards to around 25,000 customers. In addition, our consumer group provides personal loan services and both the credit card and loan services are operated from a central location. We employ over 100 people across the two businesses.
