History
Citi was among the first international banks to enter the Russian market when we established a local bank, Citibank ZAO, in Moscow in 1994. We have since grown our business to be among the country’s largest banks offering a full range of products and services to corporate and consumer customers. We have over 3,000 employees in Russia and a distribution network including over 60 branches and 300 ATM’s across six cities.

Citi provides investment banking, corporate finance, advisory, and equity capital markets services to major Russian and international companies and financial institutions.
We had a leading position in the Russian debt markets during 2006 and was involved with a number of high profile transactions.
Global Consumer Group
In 2002, we launched our Global Consumer Group operations in Russia by opening our first retail branch in Moscow. We now serve over 400,000 consumer banking and credit card customers across Russia. In early 2007, we expanded the 60+ branch network to include branches in Samara, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Rostov-on-Don as well as those in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Our Global Consumer Group currently offers the following products and services to our customers:
- Credit cards
- Personal loans
- Investment products including market linked deposits, mutual funds, structured notes and insurance.;
- Multi-currency checking and savings accounts with CitiOne and CitiGold banking products;
- Payroll packages for salaried employees;
- CitibankOnline internet banking service; CitiPhone, the Banking Support Service available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year;
- Citi Alerting Service, which provides subscribed customers with the ability to receive online information about their transactions and balances via email or SMS.
