What services do we provide?

1) Software Development is closely aligned to Citi businesses and products. Working hand-in-hand with the world's leading computer and software technologies, you will develop new components and enhance existing platforms to provide competitive advantage to key business functions within Citi. You will learn how to architect, design, and build some of the largest and most global solutions available in the financial service market. You will gain exposure to breakthrough technologies before they become available, and also work extensively with existing Service Oriented Architectures and Web Services Frameworks.

Two organizations are based in Singapore:

• International Technology Organization (ITO) is a critical technology arm of the Global Consumer Group. The coverage spans across a business footprint of 49 countries across Asia, Japan, EMEA and Latin America, supporting 27 languages over 12 time zones. ITO proactively delivers best-in-class innovative technology-based business solutions to provide superior benefits and services to customers. Over the years, ITO has developed full competency in all strategic technology platforms to support the International Consumer Business. It has developed and implemented systems holistically covering, Retail Banking, Cards, Citifinance, Data Warehouse and Customer Touch Points technologies. ITO also supports the International Private Bank and the International GTS Commercial Cards Business, enabling the leverage of the core consumer platforms across Citigroup.

• Institutional Clients Group Technology (ICG Tech), supporting the software needs of the Markets & Banking business in 16 countries in the Asia Pacific region. We are aligned to the products including:

- Securities

- Global Markets

- Equities & Loans

ICG Tech also performs internal control functions such as compliance, information security and software quality management to achieve high standards and quality system deliverables. 2) Technology Infrastructure provides hardware, operating systems and telecommunication products and services to all Citi’s businesses.

• Citi's Technology Infrastructure (CTI) - With a presence of about 10,000 staff in some 100 countries, CTI provides technology infrastructure products and services for approximately 80% of Citi businesses, including data centers, network, desktop and voice systems. CTI has centralized global functions providing strategic focus to the regions. The organization provides worldwide support to Citi businesses with the absolute highest levels of quality, availability and reliability in the areas of network and telecommunications support, systems and application services, engineering, information security, compliance and data center operations.. The Data Center in Singapore is one of the largest in the region serving more than 50 countries across the globe. The Citi Technology Infrastructure is building a foundation of the best technology, processes and people that will enable Citi to achieve its growth goals.
 

Our Programs

1) Full Time Analyst Program

We hire full-time undergraduates specializing in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, and Computer Engineering to work on technology initiatives that support Citi businesses.

• On the job: You will have the chance to apply and improve your programming, engineering and/or problem-solving abilities in a state-of-the-art technological environment. You will also gain invaluable regional/global exposure through working on regional/global software application projects.
• Training: Training opportunities that focuses on specific development of your technical, interpersonal skills and banking domain knowledge will be available, to enhance your day-to-day performance and grow your career as an IT professional. 

Positions available in ICG Tech:

Analyst/Programmer: You will provide technical expertise in developing and maintaining application systems to support the businesses in the Asia Pacific region. Responsibilities include providing support for product enhancements that meet the customers’ requirements; as well as vendor management to ensure timely and quality delivery. You will also ensure relevant technical specifications and processing information of integrated solutions are communicated to the interface systems teams and operation teams; as well as be involved in end-to-end solution design, development, project management, testing and roll-out. Compliance to corporate policies, standards and procedures is another aspect of this role.

2) Management Associate Program

The Management Associate Program is a significant source of entry level talent and is one of the important sources of building future leadership. The program brings graduating technical and leadership talent into the organization and accelerates the development of the participants through the program elements.

Positions available in CTI:

Management Associates participate in two challenging 6-month work assignments within the technical segments of CTI. The rotations are designed to provide multidiscipline exposure and learning. Formal mentoring and extensive training is designed to accelerate the growth of the Associates technical and leadership skills, foster strategic thinking, and to gain a firm understanding of Citi’s technologies and related business model. Opportunities within the program include technology project management, technology engineering, data center management, IT compliance, and technology product and relationship management.

Positions available in ITO:

Management Associates will be placed on a 12 to 18 months program comprising a combination of key rotations with stretched assignments, formal mentoring programs, extensive training and peer networking sessions. There will be opportunities to participate in end-to-end solutions delivery, including business analysis and development work, as well as provide impact analysis, estimation on change of requirements and prepare documentations during business requirements gathering and functional specifications. Management Associates will also get to learn and be exposed to the various banking platforms and products such Credit Cards and Internet.

Recruitment Process

Full Time Analyst Program

The selection process will typically consist of a combination of 1-1 or panel interviews. Overview of the process as follows:

1. On campus presentations by Citi in August
2. Applications submission by interested applicants through Citi website in August/September
3. Shortlisted applicants are invited for first round interviews in September/October
4. Offers extended by December

Management Associate Program

The Competency Based evaluation process focuses on the following skills:

• Thinking skills (analytical ability, decision-making, innovation, and the ability to think broadly and strategically).
• Building relationships; modifying their behaviour, working in teams and leading others
• Drive and determination, and motivation to join Citi and the Management Associate programme
