<question qtext="What advice would you offer prospective candidates on transitioning from school to the workplace?">

Take in as much as possible, ask questions and most importantly build your network. The important thing is to get engaged, offer your fresh perspective and add input to the processes. We want to find talent that can question the processes, offer solutions and bring about change. It is not only having the technical knowledge, it is about having the drive and the willingness to do it.

	<question qtext="Describe the most memorable experience you've ever had at Citi.">

I participated in the Woman’s Council Developing Talent Program – a program for 30 Vice President woman a year that takes them on a 6 month journey on various leadership training, personal and professional training skills. The best part was to participate in a project to refine another business process for which you knew nothing about – you were really stretched and taken out of your comfort zone. This allowed me to rely on the fundamentals of analyzing, observing and questioning where I did not have the subject matter expertise. At the conclusion of the program the projects were presented to senior managers in NY – the best part was meeting up with our Senior Sponsor 6 months later and saying they were actually utilizing the model we recommended in our project.

	<question qtext="What about your career excites you the most - gets you out of bed in the morning?">

I love the fact that everyday brings new challenges and never see the same thing day in and day out. Also the fact that we have such a global reach allows us to interact with so many individuals across the globe and to see that coming together for our end clients is very exciting.

	</question>

	<question qtext="What other groups do you liaise with regularly within the Firm?">

I interact with individuals all over the globe. I have extensive dealings with various partners such as operations, product, technology – I think it is important to realize we are all working for the common goal and that we have to do it together. It is so much easier to accomplish your objectives when you have built your network and know who to reach out to and maintain that working relationship with them.

	</question>

	<question qtext="What skills have you found to be the most useful in your position?">

Given that I manage a number of projects, I have to say my organizational skills, abilitiy to prioritize and project management skills. I think these 3 are paramount to ensuring that I delivered what I need to deliver. Also the ability to look at the bigger picture and provide solutions to issues.

	</question>

	<question qtext="What non-work related activities do you get involved in through Citi (community, mentoring, charity)?">

I actually participate in the mentoring program through the Diversity University – it is nice to work with someone that is taking charge of their career and interested in taking it to the next level and needs advise from a more senior member of the organization. I am paired with someone from a different business so it offers both of us the ability to expand our network and to get exposed to other people and ideas.
