TRANSCRIPTION OF AUDIO Jake Turner J. Turner: My name is Jake Turner and I'm an equity analyst for Citi. I worked specifically in the event driven in the principal trading side. And what we do is specialize in mergers and acquisitions. So we're looking very much into companies that are buying each other, perhaps companies that are splitting parts of themselves off or acquiring other parts of companies. On any given day at Citi, I could be talking to market in foreign countries, like the US, Australia, talking to analysts about companies doing fundamental analysis, trading stocks, re-hedging our book, and a number of things. We have people working every different type of an asset class, from fixed income to equities, investment banking. There are so many different people to talk to a cross over a hundred countries. A career at Citi starts with a 10-week associate program. I actually came from a physics background. I did a four-year course at Imperial College. And had flight reservations about what was going to be expected of me in terms of financial knowledge. I actually found [UI Phrase: accent] very educational. When I finished on the training, and I actually sat down at my desk, I actually felt prepared. The great part about joining a death is you have a mentor, who has your career and development in mind. And you have a relationship where you can learn so much of an experienced individual who's been in the market for 8, 9, 10 years. Working for a market leader like Citi opens up all sorts of opportunities [Music] [End of Recording]
