Citibank's Rhodes Decorated by Government of Korea

Seoul — William R. Rhodes, Vice Chairman of Citibank, today was decorated by the Government of Korea for his leading role in the country's international debt negotiations earlier this year.

          President Kim Dae-jung said that in recognition of Mr. Rhodes's "outstanding and meritorious service rendered to the Republic of Korea," he was awarded the Order of Diplomatic Service Merit's Heung-in medal.

          Mr. Rhodes also has been decorated by the Governments of Venezuela, Argentina, France and Brazil.
