(NYSE: C) December 16, 2005 Asia: Citigroup Wins Best Bank Award from Finance Asia One of Asia’s leading monthly capital markets magazines has awarded Citigroup best bank of the year for Asia. Finance Asia picked Citigroup as Asia’s best bank of the year for 2005 with the announcement made on the company’s web site today. The award caps another impressive year for Citigroup in Asia, which has dominated in areas ranging from cash management through to syndicated loans. Key transactions over the year on the debt side included leading sovereign bonds for Pakistan, Indonesia, Korea and the Philippines and syndicated lending on key transactions such as Taiwan Broadband, Kingboard Chemical, Johnson Electric and CNPC.
