(NYSE: C) December 13, 2006 Guam: Citigroup-Sponsored Mobile Learning Lab Launched by Big Brother Big Sister A Citigroup Foundation funded Mobile Learning Lab (MLL) was launched in Guam today. Run by NGO, Big Brother Big Sister (BBBS) of Guam the MLL is a new and exciting addition to BBBS's well-established Mentoring Program. Equipped with four laptop computers (loaded with learning software programs), the MLL will support after-school and weekend educational programs related to homework assignments, special projects, as well as improving math and literacy skills. The MLL sponsorship extends Citigroup Guam's support of the BBBS mentoring initiative – in 2006, Citigroup Guam employees volunteered over five hundred mentoring and service hours to the program. "Educating the next generation is a priority of the Citigroup Foundation and we believe the Mobile Learning Lab project is an innovative way to engage youth in Guam and help them progress their academic skills," said Madhu Seshadri, Citigroup Country Officer, Guam. He added, "Not only do we expect their academic skills to improve, but we anticipate that they'll also develop social skills and self confidence through this program and our employee volunteers. Erika Vaughn, executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam, said, "The MLL will be a great asset for our site-based mentoring program. The computers provide many more options, and as we'll be mobile, we will not be limited to specific locations. We are very grateful to the Citigroup Foundation for funding the project."
