Citi Qatar Volunteers Support Dhreima by Planting 300 Flowers
Qatar Citi Qatar volunteers in Doha today joined more than 55,000 employees and their families and friends, and visited the orphans. Over 55,000 Citi volunteers on a single day at more than 1,000 events, in over 600 cities, in 100 countries participated in the company's second annual "Global Community Day." 15 volunteers from Citibank in Qatar, went to Dhreima Center to plant 300 flowers along with their kids.
Citi's Global Community Day is a worldwide effort involving hundreds of projects in hundreds of cities around the world. Recognizing that many Citi employees volunteer year-round in their communities, Global Community Day celebrates Citi's volunteer spirit on one-day worldwide. Local volunteer teams worked on a variety of projects addressing specific community needs including literacy, housing, environmental protection, nutrition, and health care.
