Bahrain: Citi Supports American Mission Hospital, Provides USD 30,000 Grant
 
Creates Awareness for 1,000 patients in Five Social Centers

Manama – Citi today announced a new grant to American Mission Hospital (AMH) which will be used to identify patients with various health issues and guide them towards better health and proper medical care.
 
The USD 30,000 grant by the Citi Foundation will be utilized to finance "Community Outreach" events which aim to reduce health problems through a rigorous health awareness program. This is in line with the growing health risks experienced by the lower income sectors of the Bahraini community and among residents, especially chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and elevated cholesterol levels.
 
All events will take place at the social centers identified by the Ministry of Social Development. The hospital will conduct a minimum of five events (with up to 200 patients at each event) at the social centers around the island.
