Citibank Celebrates Opening of 309 Canal Street Financial Center in New York City

New York, NY – Demonstrating its commitment to Manhattan and to providing a superior client experience, Citibank today held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new full-service Financial Center in New York City located at 309 Canal Street.

"We are thrilled to open our 309 Canal Street Financial Center," said Thomas Sebok, Area Manager, Citibank Manhattan Downtown and Staten Island. "New York is a priority market for Citi, and we are committed to expanding our presence here."

The 309 Canal Street Financial Center includes the wealth management services of Smith Barney's Financial Advisors within the bank branch, offering clients two of the strongest names in financial services in one location. This represents Citi's broader effort to better serve clients by offering the wealth management and investment expertise of Smith Barney within U.S. Citibank Financial Centers.

To commemorate the opening, Citibank presented a $50,000 grant to Asian Americans for Equality, Inc. (AAFE). AAFE is a New York City-based community development corporation that targets its housing, community service and empowerment programs to low-income Asian Americans and recent immigrants from Asia, with a focus on activities in Manhattan's Chinatown and Lower East Side neighborhoods. "We are proud to support Asian Americans for Equality and this great community," said Natalie Cheung, Financial Center Manager for 309 Canal Street. "At Citibank, we are committed to helping make a difference in the communities where we work and live."
