Italy: Citi & Italian Automobile Club Launch Citi ACI Visa Credit Card for Motorists

Milan – Citi and the Italian Automobile Club launch Citi ACI Visa, the new credit card made for motorists. Citi ACI Visa is the only credit card in Italy offering a 2% discount on fee-free refueling at all gas stations, and a 1% discount on all other purchases made at Visa merchants. Discounts can reach a maximum of 120 euros per year.

Citi ACI Visa gives the cardholder access to ACI Club which offers many services and benefits. For those who are already members of ACI Club, a 20 euros discount on annual membership fee is offered. Among ACI Club benefits: discounts on F1 race tickets in Italy, free legal assistance in case of car accident, 10% discount on Hertz Car Rental, 22% discounts on Safe Driving courses, free enrollment to "Show Your Card” network for discounts and facilities at hotels, restaurants, museums, theatres, concerts, shopping, amusement parks, and golf clubs in Italy and in the rest of the world.

Furthermore, Citi ACI Visa offers all the traditional Citi credit cards features: theft and loss coverage, which protects the holder in case of fraudulent use of the credit card - including on-line purchases in the 24 hour timeframe before the complaint - and purchases protection, which covers goods bought with Citi ACI Visa in case of damage or theft, in the 90 days after the date of purchase.

Cardholders can also activate the Citi Alerting service. This service provides notifications by SMS of all transactions, the residual balance to be paid at the end of the month and a warning when the maximum limit of the credit line is near. This gives the customers full control of the card, knowing real-time all expenses and the possibility to lock it immediately in case of fraudulent use.
