(NYSE: C) April 29, 2008 Citi Names Derek Bandeen Head of Global Equities Trading New York, NY – Citi today announced the appointment of Derek Bandeen as Head of Global Equities Trading. Bandeen will have responsibility for continuing to develop Citi's global equities trading business, in which the firm has invested significantly in recent years. Bandeen joins Citi after a 22-year career in a variety of equities trading roles for Morgan Stanley. Most recently, he was Head of European Equities. Past roles have included Head of Equity Derivatives in Europe and Head of European Equities trading. At Citi, he will be based in London and report to Jim Cowles, Head of Global Equities Products. "Derek brings 22 years of equity trading and management experience to Citi," Cowles said. "His diverse background includes derivatives, cash equities and proprietary trading. We are excited that he will join our senior team and confident he will help lead our continued evolution and focus on our trading business." Citi has invested significantly in developing its global equities trading businesses in recent years. Most recently, Citi acquired Automated Trading Desk, a leader in electronic market making.
