Citi Investment Research Captures First Place in Institutional Investor's 2008 All-Asia ex-Japan Research Team Poll
 

Hong Kong – Citi Investment Research has been ranked first equal in the annual Institutional Investor's 2008 All-Asia ex-Japan Research Team poll.
 
According to Institutional Investor, Citi Investment Research provides "the best overall coverage of Asian equity markets."
 
In country and regional research coverage, Citi captured first place in India, Singapore and Taiwan and top five for all countries under its coverage, including Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea and Thailand.
 
Under the Industries and Strategy & Economics portion of the survey, Citi held 16 team positions (first, second, third place or runner-up) in the 19 sectors, with first place in the Power, Technology/IT Services & Software, Technology/Semiconductors, Telecommunications and Transportation sectors.

Citi currently has about 75 analysts covering 700 stocks in Asia Pacific ex-Japan.
 
Citi was tied first on an unweighted basis but captured first place on the overall weighted basis. Citi was also ranked first on a weighted basis last year. (Note: Weighted results put more emphasis on team rankings).
 
The Institutional Investor results are based on responses from more than 1,200 buy-side analysts and investment professionals at more than 550 institutions managing an estimated $1.3 trillion in non-Japanese Asian equities.
