Juan Enrique Pino

LATAM Chief Risk Officer

Juan Enrique Pino is the Chief Risk Officer for Citigroup Latin America, including Mexico, where he also is the Corporate Director of Risk for Banamex and Grupo Financiero Banamex.

He is responsible for managing and tracking the firm’s risks across the Consumer, Institutional and Private Bank businesses in this region. He is a member of the Global Risk Management Executive Committee and of the Latin America Management Committee. He is also in charge of the Regional Regulatory Risk Compliance.

Juan Enrique first joined Citi in 1985, performing since then several roles within the Institutional Clients Group until 1995. He then moved into Independent Risk Management, where he has performed various roles in Commercial Bank and in ICG, with the most recent years having a risk oversight role of countries in Latin America for both LCB and ICG risk.

He was also Country Head for Citi Chile in 2008 and 2009 including Board membership at Citi’s Retirement Services HoldCo in Chile. In August 2009, he was appointed Regional Risk Coordinator for Latin America based in Mexico, and in January 2010, he was appointed as Latam Chief Risk Officer. Juan Enrique graduated from Universidad Adolfo Ibañez (Chile) in 1983 with a degree in Business Administration.
