Rodrigo Zorrilla was appointed President of Grupo Financiero Citibanamex in October 2014.

Rodrigo started his career in Citigroup in 1992. 10 years after he continued his achievements in Asia, where his most recent responsibility was as CEO of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group in Japan.

Prior to his role in Japan, he was Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific and member of CITI’s Executive Committee in the region. He managed the different business lines, such as Corporate and Investment Banking, Transactional Services, Private Bank, Consumer Bank and Treasury.

Before Asia, Rodrigo Zorrilla was Head of Corporate Sales for Latin America in New York (2001-2002), Country Treasurer in Venezuela (1997 -2000), and Head of Corporate Sales and Structuring in Mexico (1992 – 1997).

Before Citigroup, Rodrigo Zorrilla held responsibilities in Pemex and in the Ministry of Finance in Mexico.

Rodrigo Zorrilla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico (ITAM) and an Executive Program Diploma from Kellogg at Northwestern University.
