Kuwait City – For the second consecutive year, and as part of Citibank's continued support to educational programs and to the local community, Citibank Kuwait sponsored the CFA Annual Forecast Dinner and Charter Awards Ceremony, held January 23, 2012, at the premises of Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.

Mr. Abdulatif Al Hamad, Chairman and Director General of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, hosted the event.

With attendees ranging from chartered financial analysts, senior managers and CEOs from banks, asset management companies, Kuwait Investment Authority, and other corporates, the event was a successful celebration of the latest group to complete the CFA program. Citibank Kuwait presented the new charter holders with a token as an appreciation for their efforts and to congratulate them on becoming Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA). Juraj Beno, a Citibank Kuwait team member, was among the graduates who completed the CFA program.

"At Citi, we continue to search for ways to encourage bankers to progress further in their career through such programs. These graduates will play an active role in developing the investment sector in Kuwait into a strong, vibrant and dynamic sector that can compete internationally," commented Ozgur Kutay, General Manager, Citibank Kuwait. "It gives me great pleasure to see one of our own team members seek professional development and complete the CFA," he added.

Citibank Kuwait has evolved into an active corporate citizen with a particular interest in supporting financial education and developing Kuwait's talent pool.
