Kuala Lumpur Citibank Berhad is poised to grow aggressively with the opening of its four newest branches in Taipan USJ, Cheras, Melaka and Kuantan today.
The branches will extend Citibank's network to eleven from the current seven, following the authorization given by Bank Negara Malaysia in 2009.
"2010 will see Citibank expanding aggressively across all businesses in Malaysia. We expect significant growth opportunities with branch expansion and increased ATM touch points. In addition to branch expansions, the bank will further enhance its mobile and internet banking platforms to reach more Malaysians and support the growth of virtual banking platforms. Its growth plan will primarily be driven by customers' needs and its commitment to deliver high value propositions through a comprehensive range of products and services.
The branches will be managed by more than 80 qualified staff, and will offer, among others, better access to consumer banking, opportunity to world-class financial advice and wealth management services as well as credit card services.
