The Citi Foundation recognizes the role philanthropy plays in catalyzing change to address some of society’s most pressing challenges, from food insecurity to homelessness and more. Through our Global Innovation Challenge, we seek to provide innovative community organizations with the support they need to pilot or scale new offerings and development models that deepen community impact.
About the Inaugural Global Innovation Challenge on Food Security
The Citi Foundation launched its inaugural Global Innovation Challenge in 2023, supporting 50 community organizations with a total of $25 million focused on improving food security globally. With support from Citi Foundation, these Global Innovation Challenge recipients are advancing projects across four priority areas: Food Access, Affordability, Availability, and Community Resilience.
