Brandee McHale

Brandee McHale leads Citi’s global Community Investing and Development function, including impact investing, employee volunteerism, charitable giving governance and philanthropy. She serves as the President of the Citi Foundation and as Citi’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer.

With more than three decades of experience in financial services and philanthropy, Brandee has dedicated her career to developing forward-thinking solutions that connect low-income communities to jobs, housing and a more secure future. Prior to her current role, she led Citi’s corporate citizenship efforts, including volunteerism, environmental sustainability and the Citi Foundation’s philanthropy. She previously served as Director of Operations for Citi Community Capital and as a Program Officer for the Ford Foundation focused on financial inclusion and asset building. 

Brandee has played a leadership role in preeminent nonprofits across the U.S. working to advance economic opportunity. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Council on Foundations and National Association of Affordable Housing Lenders. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Living Cities, Prosperity Now, Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), America’s Promise and Philanthropy NY, as well as on the advisory board for the Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose (CECP). In 2022, Brandee received the Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals (ACCP) Trailblazer Purpose Award and in 2026 she received the CECP Charles H. Moore Award for Leadership in Corporate Community Engagement. She has also served as a member of the Federal Depository Insurance Corporation (FDIC)’s Advisory Committee on Economic Inclusion.
