
Gonzalo Luchetti became Citi’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in March 2026. He is responsible for the financial management of the firm and oversees Treasury, Controllers, Investor Relations, and Strategy and M&A. He is a member of Citi’s Executive Management Team.
Prior to being named CFO, Gonzalo served as Head of U.S. Personal Banking, where he led the delivery of a single, seamless client experience across retail banking, retail services and branded cards. He guided the business in its digital first strategy, serving more than 70 million clients with both national scale and a targeted physical presence in key U.S. markets.
Previously, Gonzalo served as Head of the Consumer Bank in Asia and EMEA, where he was responsible for all consumer banking activities across deposits, wealth management, Bancassurance, small business, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages. Before that, he was Head of the Asia Retail Bank, helping to lead a significant transformation of the business by reshaping its distribution network, scaling select franchises and accelerating digitization across the region. He has also served as the Global Head of Wealth Management and Insurance, leading Citigold, Citigold Private Client, global investment and insurance distribution, and the International Personal Bank.
Gonzalo joined Citi in 2006 as Head of Strategy for Citi Private Bank in Latin America. He expanded his role in 2007 to include serving as Chief Financial Officer for the business. Before joining Citi, he held positions at JPMorgan Chase and Bain & Company.
Gonzalo earned an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires.
