Karen Valencia Wright
Treasurer of the Citi Foundation & Head of Operations and Business Management, Community Investing and Development at Citi
Karen Valencia Wright is the Head of Operations and Finance for Community Investing and Development and the Citi Foundation. In this capacity, she oversees financial and operations functions including financial reporting, business planning, compliance, systems and management of operations staff.
Karen joined the Citi Foundation in 2004, leading the move to online grantmaking and working to continuously improve systems and processes. Prior to joining the Citi Foundation, she spent five years working for The Learning Project, a nonprofit educational management organization, as Director of Finance and Administration. Karen began her career as an investment banker in mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University.
