At our first Citi Global Community Day (GCD) in 2006, we knew we had created something special — something that could tangibly impact the communities where we live and work. But we could not have imagined that the initiative would become a tradition, baked into the very fabric of the firm, still inspiring us to leverage our time, skills and talent to make a difference 20 years later.
Over the past two decades, Citi volunteers have repeatedly answered the call to service in their communities. Together, we have evolved and deepened our community engagements, shaping GCD each year to meet the moment — whether that looked like supporting relief efforts following a natural disaster or going virtual with our events and community engagement during the global pandemic.
2025 was no exception. We marked this milestone across 80+ countries and territories with a combined 45,000+ volunteer engagements, 114,000+ hours of service and 900+ events.
