Last Updated: March 14, 2026

We are aware that false information is circulating about our operations in the Middle East. Here are the facts.

Material updates will be provided as necessary

Are you still operating and serving clients in the UAE and Bahrain?

Citi continues to serve clients in the UAE and Bahrain without interruption. The safety of our employees is our number one priority, and we are continuing to take measures to help keep our employees and their families safe. Meanwhile, we are continuing to serve our clients, and have robust contingency and resilience plans in place to ensure business continuity.

Are your offices and branches open in the UAE and Bahrain? Are your employees safe?

The decision to evacuate three of our buildings and to temporarily close some branches is consistent with our commitment to prioritize the safety of our colleagues. All colleagues are accounted for and are safe, and we are continuing to serve our clients.

Have any of the Citi offices or branches in the UAE or Bahrain been damaged or attacked?

No, reports of damage to Citi offices and branches are false.

Is Citi leaving the Middle East?

No, Citi is not leaving the Middle East. Citi has maintained a continuous presence in the region for over six decades, recognizing its integral role in our global network. We have strong confidence in the resilience and sophistication of regional economies, and the effectiveness and agility of UAE leadership in response to the situation. As a trusted partner, we leverage our global expertise to enhance clients' operational resilience throughout these unprecedented times.
