Citi is proud to be the Official Sponsor of The Monument at the 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Citi’s Sponsorship and Partnership Management team worked closely with award-winning landscape designer Imogen Perreau to bring the feature to life in a way that best represents Citi. Our sponsorship of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show reflects a commitment to engaging with clients and communities through globally recognised cultural platforms. The show’s emphasis on creativity, innovation, sustainability and international excellence closely mirrors Citi’s own values.
This year, The Monument has been dubbed “RHS x Citi Season of Abundance” to celebrate the energy and abundance of May. Furthermore, this immersive planting installation draws on the symbolism of Beltane, the Celtic festival rooted in folklore which marks the shift from spring to summer.. The design draws inspiration from the vitality and strength of nature at this time of year, incorporating plants with healing properties that reflect the potency of the season. The design uses minimal hard materials, creating a planting-led environment for visitors to move through, with reflective furniture and still water reinforcing the theme of abundance.

The selected plants have been chosen for their performance in May and healing properties deeply rooted in folklore and tradition:

Imogen Perreau is a multi-award winning garden designer based in East Sussex, where the surrounding landscape plays a central role in shaping her work. Inspired by the rolling hills of the South Downs, the changing light and seasons and the meeting of land and sea, her modern country planting style leans towards schemes rich.
Imogen's personal experience of nature’s restorative power underpins her approach and this is seen in her work. The connections found between nature, historical ritual and everyday life continues to inform her designs, bringing a sense of meaning, memory and rootedness to the gardens she creates.
Her path into horticulture grew steadily from a lifelong connection to landscape and the natural world. After spending 15 years working in film and television production, moving back to the countryside brought a renewed appreciation for plants, gardens and the rhythm of seasonal change. What began with growing vegetables at home soon expanded into sowing flowers from seed and developing a deeper understanding of plants, their character, complexity, and the way they bring life, atmosphere and feeling to a space.
Before founding her horticultural creative practice, Imogen built an international career in production, managing creative projects across documentary, music and film. That background in storytelling continues to shape her thoughtful approach to design by creating gardens which feel immersive, deeply rooted in place and resonant with the natural world.
Selected by the RHS, this marks Imogen’s debut at Chelsea Flower Show.
