About the Partnership

As an International Partner of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) through 2020, Citi will support National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) and Para athletes as they prepare for regional and world competitions as well as the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The 18 National Paralympic Committees Citi is sponsoring include: Australia, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Costa Rica, Great Britain, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, and the UAE.

Diversity and inclusion are key imperatives for Citi, and our partnership with the International Paralympic Committee gives us a powerful platform to change perceptions of people with disabilities.

Globally, Citi colleagues participate in year-round volunteering opportunities and use this powerful platform to spur conversations around inclusion. Along with our commitment to volunteering, Citi is working to help raise awareness for the Para Movement worldwide.

Team Citi

In addition to the IPC and NPC partnerships, Citi will be supporting 42 Para athletes from 20 markets. These world-class athletes represent Citi's values, and were selected for their impressive accomplishments both in their sports and in their lives. Collectively, they participate in 13 different Para sports, have won 94 Paralympic medals and represent a diverse range of Paralympic classifications. They give a face and voice to people with disabilities and are vocal advocates for the Paralympic Movement.

Volunteerism

Volunteerism

Volunteering has always been ingrained in Citi’s culture of service, and is a powerful way to increase interest in the Paralympic Movement. By supporting Para sport programs at all levels, we impact the lives of the individuals participating, and actively shape communities’ perceptions of them. Globally, Citi colleagues participate in year-round volunteering programs and use this powerful platform to spur conversations around inclusion. We encourage you to join us in supporting our partnership with the IPC by connecting with your National Paralympic Committee and local Para sports programs to find opportunities to volunteer.
