About the Partnership

As an International Partner of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) through 2021, Citi is supporting National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) and Para athletes as they prepare for regional and world competitions as well as the Tokyo Paralympic Games. The 23 National Paralympic Committees Citi is sponsoring include: Australia, Bulgaria, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Thailand, and the UAE.

Diversity and inclusion are key imperatives for Citi, and our partnership with the International Paralympic Committee gives us a powerful platform to change perceptions of people with disabilities.

Globally, Citi colleagues participate in year-round volunteering opportunities and use this powerful platform to spur conversations around inclusion. Along with our commitment to volunteering, Citi is working to help raise awareness for the Para Movement worldwide.

Team Citi

In addition to the IPC and NPC partnerships, Citi supports 49 Para athletes from 26 markets. These world-class athletes represent Citi's values, and were selected for their impressive accomplishments both in their sports and in their lives. Collectively, they participate in 15 different Para sports, have won more than 100 Paralympic medals and represent a diverse range of Paralympic classifications. They give a face and voice to people with disabilities and are vocal advocates for the Paralympic Movement.

Citi Colleagues participating in Global Community Day

Volunteering has always been ingrained in Citi's culture of service, and is a powerful way to increase interest in the Paralympic Movement. By supporting Para sport programs at all levels, we impact the lives of the individuals participating, and actively shape communities' perceptions of them. Globally, Citi colleagues participate in year-round volunteering programs and use this powerful platform to spur conversations around inclusion. We encourage you to join us in supporting our partnership with the IPC by connecting with your National Paralympic Committee and local Para sports programs to find opportunities to volunteer.

Citi worked with artists with disabilities in Hong Kong, London, Mexico City and New York City to paint murals of Team Citi athletes and their sports. The murals celebrate the athletes' achievements, encourage the public to #StareAtGreatness, and help to change the perception of people with disabilities.
