Citi provides clients with up-to-date reporting of balances and transaction postings via Account Statements to help them with cash reconciliation needs as well as control of working capital intensive business operations. Our statements are predominantly delivered electronically either as machine-readable end-of-day and intra-day files in a wide variety of industry-standard file formats, or human-readable legal statements in PDF format. Depending on the activity volumes, data coverage and latency requirements, our clients have the flexibility to receive statements via email, or as a host-to-host file transfer via CitiConnect for Files, or SWIFT FIN/FIN+ messages via CitiConnect for SWIFT, or an on-demand download as well as scheduled periodic file export via CitiDirect online banking. Additionally, Citi also delivers near real-time credit and debit advices electronically in major industry-standard formats globally. While we intend to operate a paper-free Account Statements delivery model, paper statements remain available to clients who prefer to receive them in the jurisdictions which require issuance of physical bank statements. At Citi, we understand that up-to-date, reliable bank account reporting is not only critical to our clients’ treasury and finance but also increasingly relevant and integrated into their core business operations. Our upcoming capabilities in this area include empowering clients with the ability to view and configure statement subscriptions on CitiDirect by choosing the formats, delivery methods, frequency and data attributes for inclusion based on their specific information needs for any cash account globally.

They may also include credits, adjustments and sales taxes where applicable. Clients can access billing invoices on CitiDirect or choose to receive them via email. Fee statements are available in machine-readable industry-standard file formats TWIST BSB, ISO20022 XML camt.086 and EDI 822, as well as human-readable Citi-proprietary Excel format. Clients can opt to receive their fee statements via email, or a host-to-host file transfer, or an on-demand download as well as scheduled monthly file export via CitiDirect.
