Citi Wins Top Honors in the Profit & Loss Digital FX Awards

April 24, 2018

London – Citi was recognized with a series of prestigious awards by Profit & Loss magazine, a leading industry publication focusing on the currency and derivative markets, at the publication's annual digital FX awards ceremony held in London.

  • Citi Velocity 2.0 was named Best FX Platform, Best FX Options Platform and Best FX Research Platform
  • CitiFX Pulse was named Best Corporate Platform
  • CitiFX Click was named Best FX Prime Brokerage Platform

Commenting on Citi's overall achievements, Profit & Loss editors noted, "Citi continues to build on its already superb FX functionality."

"What is impressive with Velocity is how it serves the various client segments so well," the editors said, highlighting Citi's Command Center, a tool giving clients' administrator full visibility and control over their user base, as an advanced solution giving the bank "a serious lead" to meet clients' needs in an environment increasingly focused on transparency and control. Velocity 2.0, Citi's institutional trading and research platform, is used by 82,000 clients in 130 countries.

Profit & Loss also praised CitiFX Pulse, the end-to-end electronic FX platform providing access to onshore pricing to more than 26,000 corporate clients in nearly 80 countries, highlighting the platform as "the ultimate corporate solution, no matter where the company operates, or the local regulatory environment."

The magazine recognized several recent enhancements to CitiFX Click, an intuitive and real-time post-trade reporting platform offered to Prime Brokerage clients, as "one of the pioneers of today's nirvana—an analytics driven business".

"Ultimately, it is Citi's innovative approach to delivering content that makes it a perennial winner," Profit & Loss said, commenting on Citi's FX Research efforts.

"We are honored to receive this industry recognition," Nadir Mahmud, global head of FXLM. "As we continue to build on the momentum of our franchise, these awards speak to the successful execution of our strategy to invest in technology to meet our clients' increasing needs for greater visibility, control and automation."
