Citi Australia has grown its Retail Banking team with two key appointments: Peter Forrest; Head of Banking Products, and Keith Miranda; Head of Investment Partnerships.

The appointments come on the back of strong growth from Citi in 2019, with the Australian Retail Bank growing its assets under management by 32%.

Peter Forrest; Head of Banking Products, brings 15 years' of experience in financial services product marketing and portfolio management, joining Citi from AMP, where he was Head of Strategic Marketing. Previously, Peter worked at Macquarie Bank as Division Director Head of Deposits.

As Citi's new Head of Banking Products, Peter will be responsible for Citi's competitive FX offering, deposits products and its flagship multi-currency platform, the Global Currency Account (GCA).

Keith Miranda; Head of Investment Partnerships, joins Citi from Westpac, where he was Head of Strategic Initiatives, Digital and Marketing and previously Head of Migrant Banking and international customers.

At Citi, he will front the Investment Partnerships team, with the priority of growing relationships with referral partners and promoting the expertise of Citi's wealth management business.

In addition to these key hires, Citi Australia has focused on recruiting relationship managers to its investments business. In 2019, Citi increased relationship manager employees by 27% to a total of 54, and the business is looking to maintain its growth trajectory this year.

Head of Retail Banking for Citi Australia, Kate Luft, said "We are proud to be growing our retail banking business in a market where many wealth managers are facing a period of uncertainty.

"Peter and Keith have extensive financial services experience, and will be an asset to the team. They are well-placed to help us meet our growth appetite for 2020."
