Citi Australia is proud to be named as a major partner for the National Gallery of Australia's bold new initiative Know My Name, a new chapter for the Gallery that aims to address historical gender bias by amplifying the voices of women artists and celebrating their contribution to Australia's cultural life.

"Citi is honoured to support this groundbreaking program for the National Gallery that celebrates the contribution of women artists by showcasing their unique perspective on our country's politics, ideas and culture," said Sara McKerihan, Vice Chair of Markets and Securities Services for Citi Australia and New Zealand.

"The partnership reflects Citi's own ambition to promote diversity and work towards a future of gender equity, and we are excited to share this experience with our clients throughout the year." she added.

As part of the Know My Name initiative, the National Gallery is delivering a vibrant program of exhibitions, events, commissions, creative collaborations, publications and partnerships, across Australia. This includes major exhibition Know My Name: Australian Women Artists 1900 to Now, showing in two parts until early 2022.

"Know My Name takes an innovative approach to spotlighting the stories and experiences of women, which is truly at the forefront of a growing global movement foregrounding female artists to the public," Sara said.

Nick Mitzevich, Director, National Gallery of Australia adds "We welcome Citi as a Major Partner of Know My Name and thank them for their commitment to this exhibition and their leadership in diversity and parity. Together we can celebrate the contributions of all women and take the first steps in addressing gender inequality."
