Citi Australia, in partnership with Taronga Conservation Society, has launched a campaign to support World Environment Day and encourage Australians to reduce their environmental impact.
World Environment Day is a UN backed initiative that encourages governments, businesses and citizens to address pressing environmental issues. It is a global platform to inspire change and build a greener future.
Through the campaign, Citi Australia is asking Australians: how are you reducing your environmental impact? Customers need to submit a photo documenting the measures they are taking, and the winning entry will receive an exclusive zoo package. This includes:
Commenting on the campaign, Citi Australia and New Zealand CEO Marc Luet said "It's important to use World Environment Day to ask ourselves what we are doing as individuals, and corporations, to build a better future.
"At Citi, we have a public commitment to help drive the transition to a low-carbon economy, as outlined in our 2025 Sustainable Progress Strategy. At the core of this is a commitment to finance and facilitate $250 billion in environmental solutions globally over the next five years, and $500 billion by 2030," Mr Luet concluded.
