Sydney – The Assistant Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Luci Ellis, Former United States Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence H. Summers and Former Prime Minister of Australia, Julia Gillard AC, are among the 55 speakers that will address the annual Citi Australia & New Zealand Investment Conference in Sydney on October 12th and 13th.

The two-day event will return in-person at the Sheraton Grand Sydney, Hyde Park, and will host over 1000 institutional investors, fund managers, CFOs, and CEOs from Australia, New Zealand and around the globe.

Conference attendees will hear decision-makers in the corporate, regulatory and political spheres share their insight on crucial macro and micro-economic issues. Keynote speakers and panelists will also provide in-depth, sector-based analysis into areas like healthcare, property, supply chains, infrastructure and ESG.

Citi Australia and New Zealand CEO, Marc Luet, says attendees can expect thought-provoking commentary as the market tackles serious questions and ongoing volatility.

"Whether we contemplate a potential recessionary environment, the impact of growing inflation and rising rates, or tough geopolitical questions regarding the shifting role of China – it is clear there are many challenging issues for local corporate leaders to face," Mr Luet said.

"Sustainability themes also remain front of mind, and at the conference we will take a deep dive into both the banking sector's transition to net zero, and the role Non-Executive Directors need to play in managing social risk."

Other speakers presenting at the Citi Investment Conference in 2022 include Former Prime Minister of Australia Kevin Rudd, Former Governor of the Bank of England Lord Mervyn King, and Dr Guy Debelle, CFO, Fortescue Future Industries.

Citi's leading global analysts will also be in attendance, including Chief Global Equity Strategist, Rob Buckland; Chief China Economist Xiongrong Yu; US Economist, Veronica Clark; Chief UK Economist, Christian Schultz, and Nathan Sheets, Global Chief Economist.
