Citi has been made aware of scammers posing as Citi or other financial institutions offering high yield bond investments. This is not a Citi issued product or offering.

Scammers may target Citi customers or non-customers using emails that appear legitimate. For example, 'name@citi.gold-wealth.com' is a fraudulent domain. Please be vigilant that genuine emails from Citi will follow the format 'firstname.lastname@citi.com'.

Scammers may also attempt to imitate real Citi employees or create false Citi employee personas using social media, including fraudulent LinkedIn profiles.

Scammers may also use phone calls to initiate contact with potential victims.

Please stay alert and cautious, and do not respond or take any action requested by scammers.

For more information you can refer to the Citi Online Security Center

If you believe you are a victim of a scam, please contact the Citi Security Team immediately on 1300 550 216 or +612 8225 0615 (if calling from overseas) to speak to a specialist about your issue.

We also recommend that you report the scam to a government agency (such as Scamwatch.gov.au or Australian Cyber Security Centre.) to help them identify the scammer and prevent the scam from spreading.
