In recent months, Citi Australia and New Zealand has made several strategic appointments to strengthen its Research team's capability.
Citi welcomes James Byrne who will cover energy and utilities. James is an experienced analyst, rejoining Citi following a period as the CFO of a start-up. Prior to joining Citi, James was a petroleum engineer at Oil Search Ltd, with responsibility for production from an oilfield in Papua New Guinea. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
Covering the Australian Real Estate sector, Citi is pleased to announce the appointment of Howard Penny. Prior to joining Citi, Howard worked as Head of Corporate Finance for Fortress REIT Limited and Lighthouse Capital. He has previously worked at Macquarie and Morgan Stanley in equity research and sales. Howard holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant.
In the Australian Small Cap team, Citi welcomes Will Park and Jack Dunn. Prior to joining Citi, Will worked as a Research Associate at Credit Suisse covering Transport, Infrastructure and Contractors. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Law degree from the University of New South Wales and is a Chartered Accountant.
Jack has previously worked as a research associate for Ord Minnett, with coverage in the agriculture and consumer discretionary sectors. Additionally, Jack has previously worked in Lonsec's direct equities team, covering consumer discretionary, diversified financials and technology. He holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University and is a CFA Charterholder.
