Citi Australia appoints Cristina Chang as Head of Markets Australia & New Zealand

6 February, 2024: Cristina Chang has been identified as the future Head of Markets, Citi Australia and New Zealand, subject to regulatory and compliance approvals. Cristina’s appointment will be made permanent in due course.

Cristina will succeed Mark Woodruff, who was appointed Citi Australia CEO in 2023.

Cristina will help drive the Markets franchise in Australia and New Zealand, with a strategic approach leveraging our global footprint and comprehensive product offering. Cristina will continue to retain her responsibilities as Head of Asset Backed Financing, Spread Products, Asia North and Australia, and South Asia.

Mark Woodruff, CEO for Citi Australia said, “Cristina brings a wealth of experience from her current role where she has been responsible for developing a market-leading structured finance franchise in Asia Pacific. Her appointment demonstrates our commitment to grow and invest in the Australian and New Zealand franchise and I am delighted to have her lead the Markets team.”

We have a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing Markets clients in the current environment and are uniquely positioned to deliver Citi’s global and local Markets offering and insights to clients.”

The strength of Citi’s sales and trading distribution capabilities span asset classes and currencies, sectors and products including Equities, Spread Products, Commodities, Rates and Currencies with a physical presence of trading floors in almost 80 countries.
