Global Investors Converge in Sydney as Citi A50 Australian Economic Forum Spotlights Investment Opportunities in Australia's Economy

Sydney, Australia - Global investors from institutions representing over AU $29 trillion in assets under management will gather tomorrow in Sydney for the annual Citi A50 Australian Economic Forum (Citi A50). The event will bring together Australian government ministers, regulators, and leading CEOs to showcase the nation's compelling investment landscape.

Hosted by Citi in collaboration with both the Australian and NSW Governments, the Citi A50 will welcome nearly 100 participants. These will include leading representatives from the world's largest fund managers across key international markets, alongside top domestic superannuation funds and asset managers.

The Citi A50's agenda features a series of panels and keynote addresses focusing on critical areas for Australian investment and economic growth. Discussions will centre on themes such as the Australian regulatory landscape, resources and critical minerals, innovation and the Future Made in Australia, the digital economy, property and housing, and energy transition.

Key speakers include Mark Woodruff, CEO of Citi Australia, who will open the event, and The Hon. Dr Jim Chalmers MP, Treasurer of Australia, who will provide the official address. Other participants will include:

The Citi A50 builds on the successful Sydney Investment Summit held today in partnership with the NSW Government and TCorp. The Summit drew an audience of major domestic asset managers and global pension funds, showcasing Sydney as a dynamic financial services hub and exploring significant investment and growth opportunities within NSW.

Keynote speakers included the Hon. Chris Minns MP, Premier of NSW, the Hon. Daniel Mookhey MLC, NSW Treasurer and the Hon. Penny Sharpe MLC, Minister for Climate Change, Minister for Energy, Minister for the Environment and Minister for Heritage. HE the Hon. Dr Kevin Rudd AC, Australia’s Ambassador to the United States also attended, hosting a conversation with Stephen Schwarzman, CEO & Co-Founder of Blackstone.
