Citi Appoints Dan Leslie as Head of Citi Commercial Bank for Canada

TORONTO, ONTARIO – Citi is appointing Dan Leslie as Managing Director, Head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) for Canada, a key business within Citi’s Banking division supporting mid-sized corporates and their international growth ambitions. Dan will assume his role in June 2026 and report to the Head of North America Citi Commercial Bank, Wyatt Crowell and CEO of Citibank Canada, Raymond Gatcliffe.
Based in Toronto, Dan’s background includes senior national leadership roles in Corporate and Commercial Banking at HSBC Bank Canada and TD Bank Group, where he led large, geographically distributed teams, drove franchise growth, and reinforced a strong risk and controls environment. Dan has extensive relationship experience coupled with direct entrepreneurial experience including as a senior leader within a high-performance private equity environment.

Dan will focus on executing Citi Commercial Bank’s global strategy in Canada and accelerating growth in the market, leveraging Citi’s physical presence in more than 90 countries. He will work closely with colleagues across Investment Banking, Services, Markets and Wealth to ensure we meet the needs of Canadian mid-sized corporates through a ‘OneCiti’ coverage approach.
Dan holds an Honors Bachelors Degree of Commerce from University of Guelph, Canada.
