Arvind is the Global Head of Citi Ventures. He leads the team’s efforts to catalyze innovation and accelerate growth across Citi by bringing the outside in, building and incubating new capabilities, and delivering thought leadership throughout both the bank and the finance and tech ecosystems. Arvind also serves as Citi Ventures’ Global Head of Venture Investing, overseeing all the group’s venture investing activities and partnering with both Citi colleagues and leading startups. Prior to Citi, Arvind spent nearly a decade as a Managing Director at Menlo Ventures, where he was an investor and Board member at companies including Kazeon Systems, Cavium Networks, Solidcore, nCircle Network Security, and Intelligent Results, and Vhayu Technologies. Previously, Arvind was a design engineer and a Program Manager at Intel Corporation. Arvind obtained his BSEE from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, an MSEE from Case Western Reserve University, and an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School.&nbsp;

Candace manages a portfolio of LP fund investments, contributes to investment deal flow, deal analysis, and impact reporting needs.&nbsp;Prior to Citi, Hewitt served as a senior responsible investing analyst with asset manager TIAA/Nuveen and as a corporate sustainability consultant with over 20 years as strategic planner and sustainability advocate to promoting best practices that help companies and community organizations envision, strengthen and communicate the value of social impact initiatives. Hewitt completed her MPP in Global Sustainable Development at Duke University and her BA with honors at Smith College.

Candace Hewitt

Erin oversees the investment portfolio and operational processes of the Citi Impact Fund. Prior to joining Citi, she held various roles at Madison Capital Funding (now Apogem Capital), including managing business strategy and operations as well as firm-wide projects and processes for the direct lending and broader alternatives platform. Previously, she was on Madison’s investing team, where she underwrote, structured, and managed private credit investments. Erin has held investing and advisory roles at multiple financial institutions, including Lincoln International and Wells Fargo &amp; Company. Erin holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in mathematical economics from Wake Forest University.

Erin Istvan

Meredith has spent the last nearly 20 years investing in and supporting early stage and middle market companies through private credit, private equity, and venture capital. For the last decade she has worked at the intersection of venture capital and social impact, making investments that seek inclusion and access for underserved communities.&nbsp;Prior to Citi, Meredith led the early stage, catalytic investment portfolio for the Sorenson Impact Foundation where she primarily invested in pre-seed and seed stage companies developing solutions to complex social and environmental challenges. There she served on the U.S. Impact Investing Alliance’s President’s Council, the Global Impact Investing Network’s R3 Coalition, and the University of Virginia’s Social Entrepreneurship Initiative. Meredith came to Citi in 2021 to lead the now $500MM Citi Impact Fund, which invests in early-stage companies that are developing scalable solutions for underserved communities across the United States.

Meredith Shields

Arti works on investments supporting sourcing, deal due diligence and portfolio monitoring efforts. Prior to joining the Citi Impact Fund, Arti spent four and a half years at the Singapore office of Bamboo Capital Partners, a Swiss-based private equity/venture capital impact investing firm investing in emerging markets. She was based in Singapore, as an Investment Manager, executing deals in South and Southeast Asia and Africa across sectors such as tech for impact, renewable energy, health care, and financial inclusion. Before that, Arti worked for Omidyar Network in their DC office, supporting the impact investing and financial inclusion vertical. Previously, she worked at the Development Bank of Singapore (DBS Bank Group) in their wealth management division. Arti has a MA in International Development and Finance from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington DC and a BSc in Economics (Honors) from the National University of Singapore.

Robin leads investments focused on Climate Resilience and Social Infrastructure. Prior to joining Citi, Robin worked at the International Finance Corporation, the private sector investment arm of the World Bank Group, where he structured investments in Emerging Markets. Robin holds a Master's degree in Finance &amp; Management from the University of St. Andrews, a Bachelor's degree from the University of Bath and is a CFA Charterholder.&nbsp;

Robin Volk

Ryan leads investments focused on Social Infrastructure and Future of Work. Ryan joined Citi from Zipline International, a $3 billion mission-oriented robotics company, where he led new market entry. Prior to that, he was an impact investor at Omidyar Network, received grant funding from the Morgan Stanley Institute for Sustainable Investing for his work in West Africa, and began his career in alternative investments. His work has been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, and a Harvard Business School case study on impact investing. Ryan is a first generation American who has also lived and worked in Ghana and Indonesia. He has a BA from the University of Southern California and an MPA from Harvard University.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Jonathan diligences and executes new investment opportunities across all the fund’s verticals. Prior to joining Citi, he was an analyst in Citi’s Strategic Equity Solutions group where he structured bespoke- derivatives for corporate clients, family offices, and GPs with concentrated equity positions. Before Citi, Jonathan worked at Tesla on their New Market Access &amp; Global Trade teams and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University.&nbsp;

Jonathan Epstein

Mya sources and executes new investment opportunities across all the fund’s verticals. Prior to joining the Citi Impact Fund, she served as a senior analyst in the Asset-Backed Securities Financing &amp; Securitization group where she originated and marketed securities across a breadth of diverse asset classes for corporate clients. Prior to this, Mya worked at Deutsche Bank in the Leveraged Finance business and graduated with a BBA in Finance and Interdisciplinary Studies with honors from James Madison University. During this time, Mya interned with the Citi Impact Fund, while simultaneously completing research on the frameworks used to measure the societal influences and effectiveness of impact investing.

Mya Baptiste

Elizabeth manages the key administrative infrastructure upon which the team operates including supporting team operations and administration, business processes and strategic projects. Elizabeth transitioned from Citi’s Legal department as a Legal Support Assistant, where she provided administrative support, managed critical projects, and conducted comprehensive research on traditional investment products for the Wealth Managed Investments team and the Restricted and Control Stock Group. Prior to joining Citi, Elizabeth worked at the Social Security Administration assisting individuals in receiving their benefits. Elizabeth received a M.S. in Forensic Psychology from American International College and a B.A. in Psychology from North Carolina A&amp;T State University.

Staphany sources, diligences, and executes new investment opportunities across all the fund’s verticals. Prior to joining Citi, she worked at several impact investment funds focusing on healthcare, education, and circular economy investments, including Closed Loop Partners, the Soros Economic Development Fund, and the Social Entrepreneurs' Fund. Previously, Staphany worked in private equity at Advent International and began her career at Bain &amp; Company.&nbsp; Staphany has a BA from Yale University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Josh leads Strategic Initiatives for the Citi Impact Fund, with a focus on leveraging Citi&rsquo;s extensive platform, capabilities and expertise to provide value and support to its portfolio companies. He previously led strategic initiatives for Citi&rsquo;s Global Public Affairs team, helping to advance the company&rsquo;s reputation with global stakeholders. &nbsp;Prior to Citi, Josh was Vice President for Strategic Planning and Business Development at Global Strategy Group, worked on political campaigns at the Presidential and Congressional levels, including in Ohio, Illinois and Colorado, and was Northeast Political Director for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan.&nbsp;

Tee manages the operational and risk components of the Citi Impact Fund. Prior to joining the Citi Impact Fund, Tee was a Financial Management Associate, Citi's leadership rotational program working across three rotations: Corporate Regulatory Reporting, Citi Productivity, and APAC Regional Treasury. Tee also has experience working in social impact consulting in Washington D.C., managing global public-health projects across Asia and Africa. Tee holds an MBA from IESE Business School and a BA from Kenyon College. &nbsp;

Tee Tsetsendelger

Anthony is legal counsel to the fund. He focuses on providing venture capital legal advice to the fund, &nbsp;negotiating, and drafting all of the financing documents to consummate the fund’s investments. Prior to Citi, Anthony was general counsel to mid and large companies, most recently at Action Environmental. &nbsp;Previously, Anthony spent nearly a decade as a corporate attorney at AMLAW 100 law firms, where he represented private equity investors, large financial institutions, and technology companies. Anthony obtained his JD from New York Law School, where he also serves as an adjunct law professor, and a BS from the University at Albany – SUNY.&nbsp;
