Tasnim Ghiawadwala, Head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB), recently reached a milestone 25 years with the firm. Tasnim has driven tremendous growth through the expansion of CCB into many new geographies and a solutions-oriented approach to supporting global mid-market clients. Tasnim’s determination and collaboration have helped us deepen connectivity across our businesses and leverage Citi as a gateway for clients to tap into other offerings in Services, Markets, Investment Banking and Wealth. She leads a team serving more than 15,000 clients across our global network and has shown what’s possible when we harness the full power of Citi.
Pam Habner is at the helm of our Branded Cards and Lending business within U.S. Personal Banking. Overseeing more than 35 million customer accounts, Pam is redefining how people think about credit, payments and financial empowerment in a digital-first world. Under her leadership, Citi has strengthened partnerships with iconic brands like American Airlines and Costco, and made a bold re-entry into the premium space with the Citi Strata Elite℠ Card. Her efforts have positioned Citi to become the third-largest issuer in the U.S. credit card market, while scaling the lending business and delivering record revenue for the firm.
Jennifer Taylor serves as Chief Compliance Officer for Citibank, N.A., and Banking & International. Given our global footprint and the need to comply with local laws and regulations, Jennifer leads a team that ensures we have a robust and consistent approach for managing compliance risk in every country where Citi operates. Her expertise navigating complex regulatory and compliance requirements was instrumental in the separation of our businesses in Mexico, and she provides critical guidance on digital asset products and other business activities that support our firm’s growth ambitions.
Debo Sen, honored among Women to Watch, is reimagining the future of banking as Head of Payments for Citi’s Services business, where she oversees the movement of close to $5 trillion in payments across the globe. With nearly three decades at Citi and deep expertise spanning payments, liquidity, trade and securities services, she is revolutionizing the payments landscape so that Citi and its clients can operate in a faster, more connected world. Debo has championed groundbreaking cross-border capabilities, scaled real-time digital commerce solutions like Citi® Payments Express to 20 markets, and built partnerships with major fintech firms, all while maintaining Citi’s position as the #1 provider of payments for corporate and institutional clients.
We were incredibly proud to see Citi alum Julie Monaco receive American Banker’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Julie made the decision to retire this year after a remarkable banking career spanning four decades, including 18 years at Citi. As the former head of our Public Sector Banking group, Julie shaped how Citi engages with governments and development institutions around the world and played a key role in delivering innovative solutions in an increasingly complex and interconnected global landscape. Known for her integrity, mentorship and unwavering commitment to public service, Julie leaves a lasting legacy.
Lastly, Citi CEO Jane Fraser topped the Most Powerful Women in Banking list for the fifth straight year and is known for adeptly managing the complexities of operating the world’s most global bank. Having laid out a clear vision and strategy, Jane’s willingness to take bold actions to simplify and transform the bank is paying off, and her commitment to excellence and helping our clients win is now firmly embedded in our culture.
To all of those recognized this year, thank you for your leadership and for setting a standard that inspires us all.
