At Citi, we're always striving to be the best – for our clients, our colleagues and our communities. That's why Citi is thrilled to announce its partnership with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) set to run through 2020. In addition, Citi will partner with 18 National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) to provide support as they prepare for upcoming World and regional Championships as well as the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Our shared goal through this partnership is to help generate awareness and excitement for the Paralympic Movement in communities around the world and to advocate for a global societal change in perceptions around disability.
We're looking forward to supporting these Para athletes whose spirit, perseverance and incredible athletic achievements continue to amaze us. It has been a privilege to get to know these Paralympians through Citi's support of past games, and we're excited to expand our relationship.
Citi began its relationship with the Paralympic Movement in 2012 with its sponsorship of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams. In 2018, Citi served as a sponsor of the International Wheelchair Rugby Federation Wheelchair Rugby World Championship in Australia, World Para Swimming Allianz European Championships in Ireland, Asian Para Games in Indonesia, and Para Powerlifting Americas Open Championships in Bogota.
A few of these athletes joined members of our global leadership team to share the news of the partnership with colleagues in the video below.
