Following the announcement by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (“IRBM”)regarding the implementation of e-invoicing, e-invoicing for the banking industry will be implemented in a phased approach. In view of this, issuance and processing of statements, invoices and other financial documents will remain the same following the current processes until 30th June 2025.
Citi Malaysia will continue to provide periodical updates on the e-invoicing implementation, including any specific actions that may be required by all parties in the coming months. For further information on Citi Malaysia’s e-invoicing implementation, please contact your relationship manager.

Each of the Citi entities in Malaysia listed below (“Citi Malaysia”) has adopted e-invoicing and wishes to provide its suppliers the relevant data required to facilitate the issuance of e-invoices. Such data includes Taxpayer Identification Number (“TIN”), Service Tax (“SST”) Number, and other relevant details set out below, of each of the said Citi Malaysia entities.

Citi Malaysia would like to remind its suppliers to continue to send a copy of supplier invoices to your respective point-of-contact to ensure uninterrupted business operations and timely payments. The introduction of the MyInvois Portal is primarily for e-invoicing reporting purposes to Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (“IRBM”). The MyInvois Portal should not be considered a replacement for direct invoice submission to Citi Malaysia.
